My old neighborhood definately does not look the same here in the blogosphere. You know how it is when you go back to your childhood block and find some of the buildings have been knocked down and some of the houses have new additions, a prominent family or two may still be around and the crazy lady on the corner is still sitting out on her porch shouting at the kids who ride by on their bikes but the changes are undeniable. I digress....
Some of my "peeps" are still here and going strong:
Beth at I Should be Folding Laundry is even a bigger star than she was a year or two ago.
Stie at These are a Few of My Favorite Things is an even better blogger than she was three years ago.
Daddy Forever at Daddy Forever is going strong but with a slightly more commercial bent
My hero, Melanie (Chilihead to her Interpeeps) hasn't blogged on Don't try this at Home in over a year. However, she's been busy publishing books and being a speaker at forums etc.... and she's the author of Blogging Basics 101 which got me through all the initial problems of starting a blog (and her support of my initial blogging efforts really kept me going)
My wonderful mother, at Add Humor and Faith is getting better every day. Her writing is kind of spectacular.
ElleBee at Musings of a Working Diva is doing an amazing job while gestating the heck out of her third son.
Chrissy at Rip Runnin and Roarin is still as sweet and wonderful as I remembered.
Ironic Catholic is still funny and thought provoking (if her site is slightly sexier than I remember). The Crescat is still the funniest and most supportive Catholic Blog on the web.
The amazingly offbeat Dorky Dad still has me on his blog role. Clearly he was stunned and amused by my interview of him.
But I miss Llama Mama, Say Anything , Crooked Eyebrow, Milk and Honey, Take 90 West, The Zimmerhouse, More than a Single Mom, Musings of a Mad Housewife, they are all burned out or taking a long break......
the neighborhood is definately different.
Aw, thanks. I may come back...just burned out...and need more therapy. :-/

I know how you feel. It's always a little disheartening when a favorite blogger fades. But I could have predicted this for at least one of those on your list because the last few times I visited her her posts were about ... not having anything to post about! Not a good sign.
But the upside of this is that I regularly discover new "neighbors" who are going strong and that's what's great about the blogging "neighborhood" -- there are at least as many moving trucks driving INTO the neighborhood as there are driving out!
