Bella is my dear friend from Saint Whotheheck who takes my kids home with her from school two days a week (now that I'm busy making bacon).
Bella is teaching my kids things that I'm not sure it's good that they know:
- An oven is for cooking food -- not pan storage.
- Yesterday she gave them macaroni and cheese for SNACK. And then fed them dinner later. Around here macaroni and cheese is DINNER... on a good night.
- She helps with homework. My idea of helping with homework is buying the pencil sharpener.
- She hugs them and fusses over them when they get hurt instead of telling them to "suck it up, sparky".
My poor children will someday have to return to normal life....and sadly they probably won't want to...
First of all, it is only 2 days a week. So, you got that going for you. Plus, you are and will always be there mommy, which means more than any of those other things. Stop being so hard on yourself. You are funny though and I love ya!

I remember the days when I had to compete with how perfect Logan's daycare mom and dad were. And while they made him yummy foods every day, I really am cooler than they are. Isn't that what counts? lol

They'll just learn how different families do different things. I grew up with boxed meals, nothing from scratch. When my husband was growing up mac and cheese didn't come from a box, and spaghetti o's were gross, no one ate them. Yeah, very different I'd say. Just teach about diversity.

I have friends like that. Like the ones who do 8 activities during a playdate instead of just letting the kids destroy the playroom like I do on playdates ;-)

First, STOP being hard on yourself!!!!!!!! Two, you do know not all us Mom's at Saint Whotheheck are like that. I count down the hours when they go back to school from breaks. I know others that cry because that is just the type of Mom they are. If it makes you feel better, I can take the girls a day or two, it will be like home.

LOL. I feel similarly when I leave my 2-year-old with an older lady in the church while I volunteer in my 2nd grade son's classroom. I get home and they've been reading, coloring, and playing together for two hours. Then my poor 2-year-old has to enter reality again, playing by herself while I clean and type. Suck it up, kid! ;-)

Your kids are going to making sure you are back at work for good, if Bella keeps this up. :)

I agree with Angela, Diversity! Not everyone does everything the same and it is all good! From one working mom to another, enjoy them enjoying where they go after school, that is a blessing! Take your Blessings where they are!!
