I have this neighbor. We call her Sissy. most. of. the. time. Sometimes we'd like to call her something else. Her house is immaculate. I may have mentioned that already?
My own housekeeping challenges are well known to my neighbors and friends and to you lovely people. There are a lot of things I'd rather do than keep house. However, with three Princesses (with a lot of hair), a dog and a cat in the house I like to keep a powerful sweeper around. I have also mentioned this to you. Well a couple of weeks ago I broke down and got myself a sweeper (or vacuum as most people like to call it). A Dyson Absolute. I also got the little hand held because I was on a spending binge.
I suddenly understand what all the fuss is about with these unbelievably expensive vacuums. I cannot believe what my old sweeper had left in the carpet. I was a little scared by what this Dyson picks up. Really amazing.
Now, just to be clear I am still not in Sissy's league. She has a Dyson for every floor of her home AND a handheld. The mind boggles at what that woman wouldn't do for her favorite hobby.
Then I found out that Domestic Diva has teamed up with Dyson to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness by giving away a pink Dyson vacuum on her site. Go there now for your own chance to win.
Ooooh I want a Dyson.

We bought a Dyson this summer. We thought it was going to actually sweep up (okay - vacuum up) not just the dirt, but the carpet, too. The floor squeeks now when we walk on it - I think it may have vacuumed up the nails from the floor boards! Its just amazing how well these vacuums work.
