I'm a little humbled by Carolina Cannonbal at The Crescat she is spending this Lenten season praying for her enemies and also going out to abortion clinics and praying for the unborn.
I didn't give anything up this Lenten season (except the "Wasband" which is how I will now refer to the person formally known as King George--however, I am pretty sure that does not count as a Lenten sacrifice).
Carolina is doing "Lenten Art Features" which shows beautiful paintings depicting the suffering of Christ. As I paged through her blog and especially her post today (which really moved me) I decided I am not doing enough over here.
Then this evening CoCo was doing her homework while I was on the computer and I happened to glance at this verse,
"A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."
Doesn't that just say it all? I mean really. Our good shepherd laid down his life for us.
I know I can do more.
I'll keep you posted.
